Stanza & Resist: Community Poetry Reading

A community poetry reading held monthly. Navigating the stressful confines of a dark political landscape can take a heavy toll on the spirit. It is during these dire times that the creative arts play a very important role, not only in fighting back but also in how we are able to mediate the impact it has on our souls. At Stanza & Resist our goal is to provide a space where you can speak your mnind and soothe you’re weary bones, whether that be through joyful empowerment or rousing expressions of resistance. You do not have to be a poet or writer to participate! All that is required is that you have the passion to speak your mind. Creativity is a valuable tool and a process by which one can meditate on the trials and triumphs of the world. This monthly poetry reading is a communal gathering and creative space and therefore is not hosted by any specific organization. Local groups are welcome to make flyers and info available at during readings to be taken by attendees. All are welcome!
