Some of us got to see our friend, Drew Herzig (of Indivisible Pittsfield, Chair, City of Pittsfield Human Rights Commission) deliver an incredible presentation at the First Congregational Church in Williamstown’s Second Hour: SEX AND GENDER 101…We were so impressed and uplifted by his clear, articulate, expansive and honest education around these issues that we invited him on the spot to bring this to our GT audience as well, ASAP!
LGBTQIA+ issues have very much been in the news of late. The civil rights of the transgender community have been affirmed, including here in Massachusetts, but the backlash continues. What’s going on? What does the LGBTQIA+ acronym stand for? All those letters! What do terms such as gender identity and gender expression mean? And what’s the big deal about bathrooms?
